I primarily shoot digital, but last year I unexpectedly found a 1946 Speed Graphic 4×5 camera and fell in love with it. I now have two Speed Graphics, a Busch Pressman, a Graflex XL medium format press camera, and several twin lens reflex (TLR) cameras. I’ve gotten some great photos with the Graflex cameras, and contrary to popular belief the film isn’t hard to get, expensive, or hard to develop. I only shoot black and white film at the moment, but the images have a quality that you just can’t replicate with a digital camera. If you’re interested in a film portrait to go along with digital photos, we can arrange that for a modest fee. I’ll make sure there’s a digital backup photo in case there are any issues with the film, and if we don’t get a good film photo there’s no charge.
